Victorinox Swiss Army Men's Maverick GS Green Dial

Since I was little, I always had admiration for Victorinox because I used to read alot of books on war history. I was aware of the history of the swiss army knife. Victorinox enter the watch business in 1989.I recomend the brand for anyone wanting to get a watch. I need to get a Victorinox dive watch on my wrist sometime in the future. If anyone is looking  for a beautiful dive watch, then Victorinox has the answer. Most dive watches are either black, red or blue dial. The looks of the Victorinox GS Maverick caught my eye because it has everything that I'm looking for in a dive watch which is two tone with a green dial.The Maverick GS watch is a definite eye catcher. For me it's simply beautiful, green is my favorite color. A two tone watch is always a classic timepiece in any event. This diver has a stainless steel bracelet with gold PVD-finished center links. The watch is round case and its size is 43mm, which is the average size for a diver watch. It comes with a unidirectional rotating green and gold-tone bezel with markers, crown protection, screw-in case with triple-coated anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Sapphire crystal does very well aganist scratches. The Green dial has gold-tone numerals, stick indices, luminous hands, military time and date window. I really love the military time display, which is rarely seen on a dive watch. Made in Switzerland with precision Swiss quartz movement.No need to be concern of getting the watch wet while swimming since the watch is water-resistant to 100 meters (300 feet). From the crispy archives, here's one fact that you probably didn't know, Brooks Brothers supplied uniforms for the army and navy officers. The uniforms were ready made for prompt delivery and immediate use. These advertisements are from the early 1940s, but Brooks Brothers were supplying uniforms for armed forces long before.

Vineyard Vines Nautical Flag Canvas Club Belt for Men

 One of my go to belts is by Vineyard Vines. It simply looks great and it matches all my clothes. When I was checking the Vineyard Vines website, I came across to Vineyard Vines Nautical Flag Canvas Club Belt for Men.This belt caught my attention because of its design. The belt features three horizontal rows of nautical flags, which I find pretty cool since I never saw that design done before on a belt.

G.H.Bass Outdoors: Indian Slippers

 I haven't posted a G. H. Bass advertisement in a while. I didn't want to post the usual weejun post. I decided to post this Moccasin advertisement from the mid 1930s. The maker of the weejun was heavily involved in the outdoor footwear department many decades ago. G. H Bass should bring this model back. The Indian slipper reminds me of the L.L. Bean camp moccasin, which is a preppy stable and New England classic. My assumption is that the Indian Slipper influenced the camp moccasin. The slippers are very low profile with a thin sole. According to the advertisements the slipper has the comfort of bedroom slippers. Yet, it has the durability to hold up against outdoor activities like camping and canoeing. Absolutely love this authentic design because it's a silhouette you probably see from Maine brand like Quoddy.

RIP Lauren Bacall Style Icon

 I was saddened by the news of the passing of one of my favorite golden era actress Lauren Becall. What a small world because yesterday I complimented a lady tattoo of Bettie Page and I ended up mentioning Lauren Becall. I always admired the elegance and grace that she carried. Her photos are very powerful and says so much. Very few in todays society match her grace. The only one that probably comes close would be Lana Del Rey. Over and Under Clothing "Tried and True" Tee

Check out this great shirt perfect for those lazy off days. Well fellas, you deserve to relax, but still look stylish. One of my favorite brands, Over and Under Clothing has perfect shirt. The Tried and True shirt is T-shirt every guy should have when he's watching a great baseball game with a six-pack on his couch. The back of the shirt screams America with the patriotic colors or red, white and blue. I love the Labrador in the back, howling freedom. Treason Toting Co: The Gordon Duffle - Weekender Bag

   I was so well impressed with the Treason Toting Co especially the green one. The Gordon duffle Weekender bag is pretty much started it all. It caught my attention a couple stands away when I noticed it's wonderful pine green color. It sparks my curiosity and made walk towards the stand.  I'm glad I did because I discover a great brand.  Also, the Gordon duffle is one of the first bags to be launched from the promising brand. The Gordon duffle bag is 18 ounce duck cloth. Which is pretty darn strong. Waxed Canvas making it water-resistant. The lining is an 18 ounce canvas with a single zip compartment for documents, tablet, or small valuables. The handles and side straps are made of 6 ounce top grain brown leather sides. The leather handles are enclosed in nylon webbing, which is a great feature because sometimes the leather handles can be very unforgiving to your hands when carrying the bag for a long time.

Treason Toting Co: A New Refreshment

    It's always great seeing a new refreshing brand putting a new twist on something classic and traditional. For me that brand was Treason Toting Co. Treason Toting Co  is fairly new accessory brand with a very promising future. How treason came up is pretty similar to other stories of how other brands started. A person is in need of something or isn't happy with an item. They decided to create it for themselves and people want it. They pretty much said it best themselves, "Our passion for creating accessories and life complimenting products came from our inability to find goods that spoke to our specific style pallet. Our products speak to the creative class member with style, form and function".

    What caught my attention to Treason Toting Co bags was the color. The bags weren't available in the standard brown, and olive-green colors that are common in waxed canvas bags. I love olive-green, but it's a common color. Treason Toting Co offered the bags in a wonderful color options like pine green, blue, and  red. Yeah, Treason Toting Co is fairly new, but the craftsmanship of the products says a lot more. Magnets to keep the shoulder straps together and a storm flap over the zipper left me very impressed.  Brands that has been in the heritage game for a long time forget simple, yet important details like this. For example, North Face has this waxed canvas rucksack  with a pocket with a zipper on the top of the bag. This is the most  vulnerable area because the water is going to run into the zipper. Sturdy materials like 18 ounce duck canvas and 6 Oz top grain brown leather for the straps. All products are manufactured in the United States and mostly in Maryland. The bags come with a warranty if something occurs, thus making it a smart investment.The bags  are reasonably priced also the Gordon duffle goes for $250.00

    I really enjoyed talking with the guys their story is very inspiring for anybody that have an idea, but are afraid to pursue it. Not attempting to chase the masses is definitely the right track which I also do in my blog. I only write about stuff that I would actually wear. If you follow me on Instagram then, you know that I'm a big fan of Southern Proper. This summer I have been wearing more Madras shirts then usual. My go to cap has been the Southern Proper madras frat cap. This summer the polo shirts have been put on hold. Hawaiian shirts are always in heavy  rotation every summer for me. I came across to this  awesome looking Hawaiian Hat from Southern Proper. The reason I like it is that it's something different. It doesn't have any of the preppy connotations that the usual SoPro cap usually has gingham, tartans or Madras. Great cap for vacationing in the Caribbean, each time I see it reminds me of the Dominican Republic. I need to get this cap before the summer ends. One more month for me to wear Hawaiian shirts.
