Eastland Men's Seneca Camp Moc Chukka Boot for Summer

One of my favorite chukkas is the Eastland Seneca. Just like the Falmouth and Yarmouth the Seneca is a certified New England staple. Sadly, I don't own this model must add to my Eastland collection. The Seneca camp moc chukka Boot is a five-eye chukka with hands sewn moccasin construction. A better option than the ubiquitous boat shoe perfect for the New Yorker that visits the Hamptons or Marthas Vineyard during the weekends. Hand sewn moccasin construction. Since it has a similar construction to the Falmouth and Yarmouth it will last you for a while. I had my camp mocs for six years still going strong. If worn right chukkas looks crispy during summer time. My suggestion is to pair it shorts with a 7" inseam which is usually above the knee. Mix with a madras or denim shirt and you're set for a simple casual look.The chukkas go for $100.00.

   A great July fourth  footwear option would be these made in the USA Eastland moccasins. It doesn't get more American than a pair of Eastland moccasins especially silhouettes like the Falmouth and Yarmouth, which were part of boarding or preparatory school dress code during the  seventies and eighties. The crimson/ navy color way makes the shoe have a very patriotic appeal.    Warm weather has arrived, which means no more camp socks, and duck boots. A great warm weather shoe is boat shoes.       One of my favorite footwear brands that I love wearing Eastland, are again collaborating with American fashion designer MarkMcNairy to offer four new styles as part of their Made in Maine collection. Something spectacular always comes out when Eastland and McNasty get together. Using some of my favorite silhouettes like the Falmouth, a two eye chukka boot and the horse bit loafer. The small touch of yellow and camo makes the shoes awesome to wear for year all round. Don’t get me started on the horse bit loafers because I’m simply obsessed with them. Giving the all camo treatment to one of the most classic footwear silhouettes in footwear; adding a more fun and youthful look.

     The Ripley USA is a horse bit loafer that features a brass clasp metal hardware on vamp and contrast moc-toe stiching. The Mercer USA is a two eye chukka boot featuring a non-slip boat sole and rawhide laces.   I'm the starting the first shoe pick of the week of 2014 with this bad ass beef roll penny loafer by Eastland. I'm a huge fan of penny loafers, especially if the loafer has a beef roll. I already mentioned before that the beef roll  balances the front part of a  penny loafer by giving the illusion of a wider stance. Penny loafers tend to look narrow without a beef roll. Some of the best shoes that I own are Eastlandalso, some of my longest lasting shoes are Eastland.  Check out Eastland 1955 Collection, which is now available at Bloomingdales 59th street and online, but I highly recommend for you to come in person because on Thursday, November 7 from 6pm to 8p. Becausewith each purchase of an Eastland shoe on that day you can get them engrave for free. The 1955 collection was created in 2010 to commemorate the brands 55th anniversary. In its 58th year still going very strong. The boots are not made in the United States. However, I can assure you they're great quality because I own three pairs and two I had for more than five years. They are made from the highest quality materials like fine leather, Vibram and natural plantation crepe soles. If you read the blog you'll know how much I love Vibram soles. Vibram in any boot is quality.

One of my favorite footwear brand Eastland will be having an Event at 59^th Street Bloomingdales on Thursday, November 7 from 6pm to 8pm.Which will host Tattoo artist Steve Boltz and Bert Krak of Smith StreetTattoo for a leather engraving event. Steve and Bert will be doing awesome tattoo distinctive engravings in a variety of motifs to the Eastland 1955 Collection signature boots, loafers, and camp mocs available for sale at Bloomingdale's. Purchase a pair of Eastland shoes and get them engraved for free to have a unique pair that nobody else will have. Steve and Bert can add motifs like an anchor, eagle, swallow, or a USA inspired design which will be done on-site. Which means you can witness the coolness. Capsule Trade Show 2013 A/W: Eastland

   There are some brands that I must always see when I go to the Capsule Trade Show. Eastland is one of the brands I always look forward to seeing their new lineup. Very amiable always great talking to Jim and his two sons Joshua and Jordan.
   Eastland switched it up a little bit for the 2013A/W. Eastland bought out from the archives the Fringed Loafer with the side buckle. I always have wanted to own a pair of these loafers for a long time. I haven't had the luck finding my size on eBay. I always find women's sizes. This might be my favorite shoe to come out from the lineup, which is a very strong statement since the Yarmouth and Falmouth are my daily shoes. The fringed loafer with the side buckle is the perfect shoe for the crispy gentleman since it's not too casual like the boat shoe this loafer. The loafers are available in black, brown and green (which in my opinion are the best looking one).I must get a pair.

   This morning, I decided to go on Eastland website to check out some camp mocs (Yes I have an obsession with that shoe) when I came across to these crispy looking loafers. Made from Horween Leather which will age beautifully. This tassel slip-on loafer is hand sewn by skilled shoe makers in Maine, USA. Embellish with side deck lacing and contrast top-stitch detail. Authentic traditional moccasin construction is used on this loafer, as it features a leather welt. Which would place this loafer, in the same quality category with other high quality shoe brands such Allen Edmonds, Alden, and Church. A double leather sole will get this loafer longevity, which means this shoe could be passed on to another generation. Maine heritage footwear brand Eastland, collaborates with Mark McNairy. This wedge style boot is called "The Berwick USA boot" is available in three color ways. The boot features Mark McNairy signature camo on the side quarter panels which in my opinion gives the boot very rugged look. A quality boot made in Maine, even the rawhide laces are made in the U.S.A. New York Capsule Trade Show Eastland Spring/Summer 2013

   Today I went to the capsule trade show and I had a blast. If you follow me on my instagram you will know that I post a lot of pictures of me in my Eastland shoes. For me Eastland is my go shoe in any weather. I own two pairs the Falmouth and Yarmouth which I had for almost more than three years. I have my Falmouth with the Eastland knot. I really like these shoes because they are very durable and have surprised with the abuse they put up with (I have stories).The brand has been around since 1955 making classic footwear. The line was solid as usual. I noticed this year they have more color ways for the classics. The classic brand also stay on trends this year by adding camouflage which looked great. The camouflage ones, in my opinion will be very popular because that’s the pattern of the 2012 and I still don’t see it slowing down trend wise. Overall excellent line by Eastland by offering new color ways and prints to stay on trend.
