WOOLRICH Men's Arctic Down Parka
| $399.99 |
If you're looking for a stylish and warm parka, then I have the perfect parka. The Woolrich arctic parka is the coat you should be wearing. I have featured the parka before, for women, but this time I need to put on my male readers. The arctic parka looks beautiful. However, it isn't gimmicks, it's the real truth. The parka was originally introduced in 1972 for workers constructing the Alaskan pipeline, where the average winter low is minus 25 degrees Fahrenheit. The parka looks great for the real estate agent that needs to be warm and stylish when showing houses. Wear it under your suit when the temperature drops. You will definitely be warm and dry because the parka is 550 fill duck down. Real estate agents don't panic if you forgot your umbrella because the exterior shell is the legendary 60/40 parka, which is water-resistant. The shell is also Teflon® DWR making it very water-resistant. The hood with comes with a throat latch in case you don't have a scarf and removable authentic coyote ruff, which keeps the snow away from your face. It's available in three colors navy, black and brown. The parka retails for $399.99 get it now sizes are selling out fast. My size sold out :(

Throwback Thursdays: Woolrich Woolen Mills 1974 Ramar Cloth Parka
From the Crispyfiles enjoy this advertisement from one of my favorite heritages brands Woolrich Woolen Mills. This advertisement dates back 1974 featuring the Ramar Cloth Parka. Using the popular 60/40 formula in the parka, giving it a water-repellent shell. Ramar fabric was very popular because it is able to endure a lot of outdoor abuse. This down jacket is perfect for going to the trails in 1974 and now. The jacket has great features like 2-way zippers, down insulated pockets, waist drawcord which prevents from wind traveling in the body. The jacket compacts into its own pocket or can be used as a pillow.

Woolrich Woolen Mills Fall/Winter 2014 Preview
Here's the preview of Woolrich Woolen Mills for fall and winter 2014. Old is new again. I was honored to visit the Woolrich Woolen Mills showroom, two months ago. Woolrich, a heritage brand that I love dearly. I own several Woolrich items and plan to add more. Woolrich is returning to their roots by bringing back from the archives like goose down jackets in rip-stop nylon in the bright colors that we vintage heads love. The return of the wonderful sheep logo is back. Woolrich, one of the oldest outdoors companies that has outfitted us since 1830. With the Americana trend that has made a resurgence in the past years and anything Made in U.S.A being all over the menswear blogs I'm happy to see Woolrich going back to the classics. Numerous brands had been heavily influenced by Woolrich especially many brands coming from Japan trying to emulate mid-seventies and eighties outerwear style. Many of these brands sell their clothing for $400 plus range. Many of the classics will be returning in a slimmer tailored fit for the man in 2014. The Woolrich line will be available at several retailers like Dillards and Paragon Sporting Goods ranging from affordable to more limited expensive items. It's great the Woolrich will be available in a variety of retailers like Dillards and Paragon Sports because it will attract new customers that might not be familiar with the brand.

Woolrich X Danner Mill Street Boots
The item of the week belongs to Woolrich. This collaboration features two great heritage brands that outfitted America for so many years. Woolrich collaborated with Portland heritage brand Danner using the Danner Light silhouette. These boots are handcrafted in Portland, Oregon. These boots are so badass trust me I have seen them in person. The boot features full grain leather and Woolrich wool quarter panels. The wool is Alaskan twill which was spun in the Woolrich Woolen Mills. Complete with signature Danner green laces, a Vibram Gumlite Outsole and an Old Growth Collection emboss on the tongue.

Throw Back Preppy Thursdays: WoolRich Woolen Mills 1962 Ivystyle
Today from the Crispyarchives enjoy this ad from a heritage brand that I truly love and greatly respect. This advertisement is dedicated to everyone that comes from the Ivy league area that attended any of the top 8 Ivy League schools. This is a 1962 ad from Woolrich in which features three students from Harvard, Yale and Princeton. I completely agree wool is better it lasts longer and feels better. Wool is the reason why I look forward for fall. Wool has that feeling that polyester can't achieve. Wow check out the prices for the clothes wish clothes were still that price. Students should dress like also remember first impression said a lot enjoy. Oh yeah I'm wearing a WoolRich sweater. These young scholars are on the right foot by wearing the essentials a true gentleman should have in his closet a toggle duffle coat, Blizzard coat with a shearling on the collar and a Popover. I'm taking notes, you should as well!
