Info on the Bicycle Film Festival

Here’s a little bit more info on the  Bicycle Film Festival. The Bicycle Film Festival also knows as (BFF) is a film festival held every year throughout numerous cities with strong cycling communities. The film festival began in 2001 after Brendt Barbur was hit by a bus when riding his bike in New York City. The injury wasn’t that serious but he needed time off. With that time off he thought about bicycles in the city and the people that ride it. He wanted to do something positive and the festival began. The festival  has been a big success since it combines art, music, fashion and film which are four things that cyclists usually like. The festival went from a New York City event to an event that’s held in the biggest cities in the world. It’s a big event in the cycling community since it brings everybody together. The festival has been important in bringing fixed gear culture more mainstream and premiering cycling documentaries. What I like about the film festival is that it brings together all the cycling communities like Bmx, Track, and Fixed gear.

Bicycle Film Festival 2012 NYC Begins Today

The 2012 Bicycle Film Festival is will begin in New York City from June 28 to July 1, This is going to be the 12^th year. The Anthology Film Archive will host the festival. The Bicycle Film Festival is held throughout numerous cities that have strong cycling communities like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Paris and Vienna. Rivieras Leisure Shoes

Here’s another shoe that I had my eye on for a while. This awesome looking shoe is called the Mesh-Slip on by Rivieras Leisure Shoes. Rivieras Leisure Shoes is a French brand that has their shoes handmade in Spain. I actually did get to see Rivieras shoes in person in the Capsule trade show. Rivieras is the perfect summer shoe. I love that the shoe has a mesh front which means no sweaty feet. They are very stylish and they’re also androgynous. They are available in an array of colors. These shoes are a superlative alternative if you’re looking something very casual yet not ubiquitous like Toms (which I love) and its awful clone BOBS. They seem very comfortable. Great shoe for going to barbeques, beach and picnics. These shoes scream cool and I must add them to my collection. In my opinion theses are one of the most elegant canvas shoes out. J.Crew Sample sale begins Today

J.Crew is having a sample sale that begins Tuesday 6/19 till 6/24 Sunday at 260 5^th avenue between 28 and 29. The J.Crew sample sale will feature items up 60% off retail price. From Tuesday to Saturday the store will be open from 10:00 to 8:00pm. Sunday 12:00 to 5:00. I plan to pass by to check out the sale. Has anybody gone to the sale if so how was it?

   I'm a huge fan of skateboarding. I see Kilian Martin skating as an art form. He is very talented and creative. He skates his surrounding every different to most skaters. Kilian Martin is one of favorite skaters along Yann Gari in the recent years.I was bored yesterday and decided to watch skate videos. L.L. Bean Signature Whipstitch Camp Moc

   

   Today I came across to these magnificent camp mocs by L.L.Bean Signature. I'm a huge fan of moccasins because they are very versatile.  I usually keep my mocs in rotation year around. I was checking out L.L Bean Signature online when I came across to these magnificent mocs.I MUST have these mocs for me to wear in the summer. I’m happy that these mocs are now available online. I knew about these mocs for a while because three month ago I posted L.L. Like I mentioned in my review of the L.L Bean Signature Spring 2012 lookbook, these camp mocs are an outstanding addition to any gentleman wardrobe. I been wearing boatshoes for a while before it became a trend.Boatshoes have now begun ubiquitous and these camp mocs are a great alternative to boatshoes.I guarantee you’re not going to see too many people wearing these since L.L.Beans Signature only carries them.

My picks from the L.L Bean Signature catalog June 2012 Mens Clothing

I received my L.L Bean Signature catalog two days ago. The L.L Bean signature catalog is one of the catalogs that I most look forward receiving. Here are my favorite items from this months catalog. Let's start with the Vintage metal field watch which is great looking watch that's isn't ostentatious like some watches. This watch is readable which is an  important deal when I choose a watch. As we move down the cotton madras short sleeve shirt is a smart choice for those warm and humid days. Since madras is lightweight. The Hand sewn O-ring belt will add ruggedness to any wardrobe. The cotton version of the leather belt would look phenomenal with shorts and a polo or button up shirt tucked in. The Canvas cloth short is a very versatile piece that can be worked around with numerous styles of footwear and shirts. The Salt wash canvas tote is great bag to carry stuff to the beach or park. Also makes a great summer commute bag since it’s offered in bright or lively colors. My favorite would have to be the 1976 Canvas hiking shoe; I want this item for myself. Great canvas high cut sneakers that would look awesome with a chambray shirt and a pair of shorts. Overall I always like L.L Bean Signature line up since it consist of classics not one season trend.
